Whether you are studying Technical Writing in school, want to hone your business and procedural writing skills for job advancement, or just want to become a better writer, Amy is the tutor/editor for you.

As the President and senior writer of a successful freelance business, she has worked on many different "real world" projects and cannot only pass on her excellent writing skills but also her insights on the nuances of working with clients from project inception to completion. In addition, she is an experienced tutor who specializes in working with English as a second language students, people with disabilities, and university/college students.

Among her "real world" projects, Amy has worked on a variety of technical documents including software packages, technical specs, RFPs, and quick reference guides. As well, she has experience in journalism and business/web writing having written several articles for local publications, written/edited many business publications for large-scale corporations, and created content for a wide variety of web sites. Finally, Amy has a great deal of experience with desktop publishing software and has designed or had design input on most of her projects.

A graduate of York University, Centennial College and Glendon College, Amy earned a BA in English Literature, a diploma in Corporate Communications, and a certificate in Professional and Technical Writing (respectively). She has also taken tech writing courses at George Brown College.

Available most evenings and weekends, Amy charges $25 an hour for tutoring. Editing charges are based on individual projects.
