From the President's Desk:
Looking Back, Looking Ahead
by Robert Milkovich, STC Toronto President

As the joy and relaxation of the Holiday Season approaches, many people take time to reflect on the past year and to look forward to the next.

Looking back, the STC Toronto Chapter has had a very busy year. Our monthly meetings have featured a selection of top notch speakers but perhaps the highlight of this year was a special Wine and Cheese party we held to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the STC. Now though, we must turn our attention to the year ahead.

Our goals for 2005 are simple – we have decided to provide even more service and value for our members:

  • Some time in January, access to our job bank will be restricted to STC Toronto members only. We feel that it is time to reserve this service for those who are paying for it.
  • Over the winter, we will launch a new service – the Online Member Directory – where members can advertise their services to potential employers.
  • Our annual Wine and Cheese Party will be held at the February meeting.
  • In the spring, we plan to hold an exciting Education Day.
  • Finally, we are redesigning and expanding our web site to give it a fresh look with more content and new online services.

These projects demonstrate the Executive Committee’s desire to give you even more reasons to belong to the Toronto Chapter of STC.

We hope that you and your family and friends have a wonderful Holiday Season!
