Benefits of membership

Society benefits include these:

• a quarterly journal, Technical Communications
• a monthly newsletter, Intercom, or a student newsletter
• international technical competitions for technical publications and online documentation
• scholarships for students
• Executive members also receive the leadership newsletter Tieline.

Local Toronto benefits include these:

• monthly meetings from September to June, free for members
• our chapter newsletter, Communication Times, ten times a year
• a job bank for members looking for contract or permanent positions
• a professional development day and other seminars
• local interest groups for online documentation, contracting/consulting, and single sourcing (many more at a society level).
• an annual technical publications competition for paper-based and online documentation, followed some months later by an awards ceremony.
