Andrew Brooke

Andrew graduated from Ryerson in 1988 with a degree in Graphic Communications Management. He worked as a printing production co-ordinator, then changed careers to work in software.

For five years, Andrew managed databases, processed financial information, and gave general computer support at a non-profit organization. Later, at Symantec, he provided phone and technical support for WinFax. He contributed to the Knowledge Base of support documents, and managed an online support tool. This experience led Andrew into technical communication.

In 1998, Andrew joined i2 Technologies as a technical writer, where he documented a transportation management software. In 2003, Andrew joined InSystems to document complex software solutions for the insurance industry. In 2004, he was promoted to Senior Technical Writer. Through various acquisitions, Andrew worked for Whitehill Technologies, Skywire Software, and then finally Oracle, where he works today.
