"XML Content Management in Technical Publishing"

Alex Povzner described uses of XML for collarative authoring and reviews, profileing and re-use of content, single-source publishing, reducing costs of translation and localization, and an XML content management system.

Alex Povzner is a founder and Chief Technical Officer of SiberLogic.

Alex spoke about

  • Collaborative authoring of XML content (use case: Tokyo Electron, USA)

  • Collaborative review of XML content in the enterprise context (use case: US Army)

  • Reusing and profiling XML content (use case: nCipher, UK)

  • Single-source publishing of XML content (use case: Franklin
    University, USA)

  • Reducing content translation and localization costs with XML

And gave a brief demonstration of SiberSafe, an XML content management system for technical publications.
