STC Competition 2002 - 2003

Thanks to our Competition Manager, Kim Watson, our committee, and our judges, we have the results:

We had 53 entries and 56 judges. Each entry is judged separately by two judges; then the judges discuss any differences to arrive at a consistent score. Competition entrants receive a personalized review from their judges.

There are three standard recognition levels for entries:

• "Distinguished" for first prize
• "Excellence" for second prize
• "Merit" for third prize

In addition, there are Best of Show awards.

They all look great on your résumé and give you the stamp of professionalism in your organization.

Judges receive standards for each kind of publication plus a score checklist before they receive entries to judge.

We send Distinguished entries to compete the STC's International competition. They are judged then displayed at the annual conference.
